NADOC WEEK 2022

NAIDOC Week was celebrated across our school with students learning about and celebrating the achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their culture.

Students took part in a variety of activities including Aboriginal inspired artwork.  Students got creative and came up with a story about how an animal got a certain feature. They then carved symbols and signs onto card to tell that story.

Students also took part in sand art where they wrote a story and then decorated the ground in traditional symbols that depicted their story. As in Aboriginal tradition, the area was then used for celebratory dancing.
