COVID-19

East Beechboro Primary School

COVID-19 - Current School Procedures.

As Western Australian COVID-19 infections continue and new sub-variants are leading to reinfections for people who have already had COVID-19, the Department of Education are asking for your support to ensure we keep our schools open and minimise disruption to student learning.

It is vital we continue to keep ourselves and our school community safe.

Parents can further support our school community to be COVID-19 safe by:

  • ensuring your family stays up-to-date with COVID-19 and flu vaccines
  • testing your child for COVID-19 if they have symptoms or are a household close contact
  • keeping your child home if they are unwell
  • maintaining good hand hygiene.

Testing for COVID-19 remains an important step in keeping our community members safe. If your child has cold or flu symptoms, they should stay at home until symptoms resolve. If your child tests positive for COVID-19, they should stay at home for at least 5 full days and until symptoms resolve.

For more information on testing and isolation requirements, go to the HealthyWA website.

Thank you for your continued efforts in working together to keep our school COVID-19 safe.

COVID-19 School Procedures

The safety and wellbeing of students, staff and families is our main priority. Please note that all school measures will be informed by the direction of the Department of Education and the Department of Health.

We are keeping our school safe by:

  • Ensuring we have mask supplies for staff and students (if required).
  • Increasing ventilation in all classrooms. Use of fresh air and well-ventilated spaces where possible. Air filtration systems have been installed where required.
  • Advising staff and students to stay home when sick.
  • Ensuring we have enhanced cleaning services and supplies.
  • Having adequate soap and hand sanitiser.

Further measures we are taking include:

  • Students will be reminded of good hygiene practices
  • Water Fountains should only be used for refilling bottles. Students must bring water bottles to school each day.
  • Drop off and Pick Up Areas - Parents are strongly encouraged to continue to promote the independence of students by dropping off and picking up at designated gates. This also assists with congestion around the school.
Kindy & Pre-Primary: Gate situated next to Kindy classes (Bray Place)
Years 1 & 2: Gate at the front of the school (Brockmill Ave)
Years 3, 4, 5 & 6: Gate at the back of the school next to the basketball court. (Maguire Ave)
